A Prosthodontist is a diagnostic and treatment-planning expert who deals with complex dental problems.
A Prosthodontist collaborates in a team with other specialists like Maxillo-Facial Surgeons, Periodontists and Orthodontists to provide you as the patient with a holistic multi-disciplinary treatment plan to achieve aesthetically pleasing long-term dental health and function.
Dr Herbst is a Specialist in full and partial dental reconstructions, dental implants and dentures with special interest in esthetic and cosmetic dental rehabilitation. (“Make-overs”)
Treatment plans and treatment recommendations are based on research outcome and literature studies.
Dr Herbst is one of the most Senior Prosthodontists in Pretoria and Gauteng. He combines his Senior Specialist position at the University of Pretoria Dental School with his private Practice.
He acts as Coordinator and Supervisor Consultant and Examiner of post Graduate Prosthodontic Students
He Lectures at Congresses and is involved in Implant Research.
